The 5K course is filled with obstacles, mud & COLOR. It is challenging enough to be difficult at times but doable at all times. Hey if you want to take a break, then do it. Want to take an extra minute to play in the mud or COLOR zone with your team or an extra belly flop then do it. We don’t mind.
No fire, electrical shocks and it surely won’t be the toughest day of your life. But it will be full of mud, fun, COLOR, music and beer. Did we mention the mud and COLOR part?
There will be two COLOR corridors where runners will pass through zones awash in COLOR powder. Yep a mud run and a COLOR run all on the same course.
Don't forget to pick up one of these fancy bandanas for The COLOR Corridor or a couple stickers to remember the event. They are availabe when you register on line or you can order order on line now.
The fun disclamer
Here at Dirty Dog, we don’t take ourselves too serious and we hope you don’t either. Training is hard, exercising is challenging and every once in a while we all need a break. This is it! Take your time, have some fun and don’t take the run too serious.
Why run if you can't enjoy the fruits of your labor? Running is hard and everyone deserves a party at the end. At Dirty Dog we do it a little different. Our post race party starts when we open the gates and stops when we turn off the lights. There will be live music, food and beverages all day long.
All runners will get one free beer on course. Additional food and beverages will be available for sale (a portion of all our profits go to help support our charity partners).
Majestic Mudd will be playing from 10-2. This will be one of their last performances so come on out and see them before they retire.
Sorry carry-ins are not permitted and stickily enforced. Our permit does not allow for it and you don't want to be that guy that shuts down our beer tent because you brought your 40's in.
Want to run with your son, daughter or that kid that never seems to leave your house? We have waves where adults and kids can run together. There are two options. The full course or a 1 mile course. If you would like to add additional children, no worries. Add as up to 3 additional kids.
You are welcome to wear a costume but remember there will also be color on the course.
Want to run with your friends, co-workers or the in-laws? No problem. Putting together a team is easy and free. Just find a couple people, pick a team name and register.
On Course Hydration
There will be plenty of water on the course. Water will be provided in cups at water stations, mouthfuls in the mud pits and even fire hoses at the end.
We guarantee you are going to get dirty, wet, colorful and full of mud. At each event we try to have at least 8 mud pits and usually there are a lot more. Don't worry, you can always rinse off with 55 degree well water from a fire hose.

We need volunteers for everything from goody bag stuffing to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Volunteers race this run or any future run for free.
Well you should. Training is hard, time consuming and lasts way to long. Racing should be fun and as such we don't take ourselves too seriously. Our events are based on runners having fun on the course and after the run. We design events that we want to do because like you we are runners. All of our events are focused on the safety of the athlete and ensuring our guest has an enjoyable event.
